Witness to centuries of history, it has been a vital axis for trade and the life of indigenous communities and the first European settlers. Today, it offers visitors an immersive experience blending wild nature and cultural heritage, reminding of its crucial role in the region's past and present.
LEGENDARY LADIES - Ashuapmushuan River
Women 18 + For beginner to intermediate level
Day Before Departure
4:00 PM Group meeting in the Chambord/St-Félicien area, personal equipment check, group dinner
Day 1
Shuttle to the Ashuapmushuan River launch point, canoe introduction, river reading, dinner by the river, move to our first camping site, dinner, and evening around the fire
Day 2 to 6
Daily travel to our camping site, portages, river safety basics, developing river comfort, days alternating between swimming, canoeing, relaxation, and group activities
Day 7
Canoe travel to the river exit, closing activity, end of activities scheduled around 3 PM
